The Holistic Wellness Institute, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Chicago, Illinois. The organization was established in 2019 with the sole purpose of promoting loving, joyful, happy families, and communities in an opportunity zone in the city of Chicago. Our mission is helping families find peace and stability by empowering and equipping them with tools, resources and jobs needed to support their families, while improving the quality of life in poor African American communities.

The primary goal of the organization is to empower poor and unemployed families to work and earn a living wage to take care of themselves, their children, and their families. All residents receive education, training, coaching, and self-empowering tools that will promote self-efficacy and engender individual wellness while participating in the program.

All individuals will receive a full spectrum of wholistic wellness services, which are designed to treat the whole person mind, body, and spirit. We believe treating the whole person will equip all residents with the necessary skills, tools, techniques, and resources required to become fully functioning adults living their lives in positive productive ways in their communities.

The Holistic Wellness Institute fosters and promote self-empowerment, while at the same time, empowering families to raise children who become productive citizens in their respective communities. Life Coaching, Budget Planning and Job skills training are essential components of the Institute’s program services. Therefore, it is our belief that poor and economically disadvantaged people have a unique opportunity to learn and grow their communities in positive ways for the betterment of society. The tenets of our beliefs are:

1) We believe those who are kind to the poor, those who help feed the poor, those who give water to others who thirst for a better life will be rewarded in kind for their good deeds.

2) We believe to those who have been given much, or to those who consider themselves as having earned much, is also required to help their fellow human beings who strive to do better in life.

3) We believe all of humanity in all nations on the earth are made of one blood, that is, the blood of humans which is different from animal blood. We believe all human life matters, and human life is in a higher class of species than animal life, including the valuable lives of poor, unemployed individuals.

4) We believe all people are humans beings created in the image of God, and corporations are not people; but rather they are institutions created and established by people to serve people and the commonwealth of society.

5) We believe given the proper training, education, and nurturing environment poor and disenfranchised people can learn new habits that will propel them to gainful employment, entrepreneurship and work habits that are self-sustaining financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
